Manage a registration with the Awaiting manager's approval

Track volunteer registrations pending manager validation and take action to unblock the process if necessary.

🎯 Purpose of the article

This article guides you through handling registrations with the Awaiting manager’s approval status: resend the request, update the manager’s details, or bypass validation when allowed.

✅ Prerequisites

• You must have an administrator role
• You must have access to the Volunteers section in the admin area
• To approve or reject on behalf of the manager, your partnership with the association must allow you to create initiatives on its behalf

1. Resend, contact, or update the manager

When a volunteer's registration is at the Awaiting manager’s approval stage, several actions are available to company admins :

  • Resend the approval email

With one click, an automatic email is resent to the address entered by the volunteer during registration.
Make sure the email hasn’t ended up in the manager’s spam folder.

  • Contact the manager

Click Contact the manager to send a personalized message directly from your own mailbox.

  • Update the manager

If the email address is incorrect or the listed manager is not the right contact, you can edit it and resend the request to a new contact.

Approve or reject the registration on behalf of the manager

If the manager does not respond, and if your partnership with the association allows it, you may bypass the manager’s validation to move the registration forward.

⚠️ If you bypass manager approval, the initiative letter will not be automatically generated.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Volunteers section in the admin interface

  2. Find the volunteer either by name or by filtering the status: Awaiting manager’s approval

  3. Click ··· More

  4. Select Approve or Reject the registration dates

The registration will then switch to either In progress or Rejected, depending on your choice.
