This article will help you identify the types of initiatives available on the platform.

✅ Prerequisites

  • You must have an admin account

  • For some mission types, activation with the Komeet team is required

💪 Volunteer Initiatives

1️⃣ One-time Volunteering
Short, hands-on volunteering initiatives that don’t require specific expertise — accessible to all employees.
👉 Examples:

  • Meal distribution

  • Clothes sorting

  • Logistical support during an event

2️⃣ Skills-based Volunteering
Professional expertise is shared to support nonprofit organizations.
👉 Examples:

  • HR consulting

  • Communication strategy

  • Legal or accounting support

3️⃣ Mentoring
Long-term engagement to support a specific beneficiary through a mentoring program.
👉 Examples:

  • Career or academic mentoring

  • Support with job searching

4️⃣ Awareness Events
Quick initiatives designed to raise employee awareness around a cause or topic.
👉 Possible formats:

  • Embedded video

  • Podcast

  • Interactive quiz

  • Webinars or online events

🤞 Challenges

Personal challenges employees can achieve on their own, without direct interaction with a nonprofit.
👉 Examples:

  • Reducing one’s carbon footprint

  • Bottle cap collections

  • Health, wellbeing, or eco-mobility challenges

💰 Fundraising
Employees can make direct donations to nonprofits through the platform.

💞 Matched Fundraising
The company matches employee donations by contributing additional funds.

⏳ Matched Volunteer Time
The company converts employees’ volunteering hours into financial donations.
